RESOLUTION
WHEREAS,, the City Council finds that a certain right of way easement
acquired by assignment, dated January 19, 1960 from South Plains Electric Co-
operative, Inc., a cooperative corporation located on the East 1 J2 of Survey No. 5,
Block E, Lubbock County, Texas, is no longer needed for public use, NOW THERE
,It FORE:
�.J3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed
the State of Texas, covering the following described property, to-vYit:
A tract of land approximately 320 acres in area located approx-
imately 4 miles from the town of Lubbock and being the East 320
acres, Survey No. 5, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary shall attest the signature of the
Mayor to said deed and shall affix the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto.
Passed by the City Council, this 13thday of February , 1964.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK I
THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality of the County
of Lubbock, State of Texas, hereinafter referred to as Grantors. whether one or
more, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/100 ($1.00) L)OLLARS,
and jpther good and valuable consideration to Grantors in hand paid by the State
of T xas, acting by and through the State Highway Commission, the receipt of which
is 4reby acknowledged, and for which no lien is retained, either expressed or
implied, have quitclaimed, and do by these presents bargain, sell, release and
forever quitclaim unto the State of Texas all of Grantors' right, title, interest,
clata and demand in and to that certain tract or parcel of lbnd, acquired by assign-
men�'. dated January 19, 1960, from South Plains Electric Cooperative Inc., a
eoopf, native corporation, situated in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, and
beQ more particularly described as follows. to-wit:
A tract of land approximately 320 acres in area located approxi-

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and
singular the ri. uis,, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belong-
ing unto the said State of Texas, its heirs and assigns, forever, so that neither
the said City of Lubbock nor its successors and assigns, nor any person or per-
sons claiming under it shall, at any time hereafter, have, claim or demand any
right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
