HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 021364B - Paving Improvements - Kerr Paving Co. - Portions Of Ave Q - 02_13_1964 y RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF AVENUE Q AS LISTED AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE .OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS IEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve ment ordinances and resolutions and the Texas Highway Department has entered into contract with Kerr Paving Company, Inc. for the making and construction o outermost curb and gutter improvements on portions of Avenue Q in said City including the following: East side of Avenue Q from its intersection with the South Property Line of 50t Street to its intersection with a line 374.66 feet South of the South Property Line of 58th Street (East Side), known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2112. West side of Avenue Q from its intersection with the South Property Line of 50th Street to its intersection with the Southeast Property Line of Block A, Carlton Heights Addition, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 2112. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above- mentioned highway have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned highway be and the same are hereby accepted, ani the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the Cityts portion of the cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of Avenue Q listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to. said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.
