WHEREAS, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (ACTING THROUGH THE ASSIST-
ANT ADMINISTRATOR OF THE FEDERAL AVIATION AGENCY) AND THE CITY OF LUBBOCKp
TEXAS HAVE ENTERED INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT DESCRIBED AS LUBBOCK MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT PROJECT NO. 9-41-071-C312, WHICH RELATES TO THE DEVELOPMENTS
IMPROVEMENT, RECONSTRUCTION AND LIGHTING OF THE LANDING AREA OF THE
LUBBOCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AS MORE PARTICULARLY SET OUT IN THE GRANT
AGREEMENT AND THE PLANS AND 'SPECIFICATIONS APPERTAINING THERETO' AND
WHEREAS, THE FEDERAL AVIATION AGENCY AND THE CITY OF LUBBOCKP TEXAS
MUTUALLY DESIRE TO AMEND THE GRANT AGREEMENT;
NOW .THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
THAT THE CITY OF LUBBOCK DOES HEREBY ACCEPT AND AGREES TO BE BOUND
BY AMENDMENT #1 (A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HERE-
OF FOR ALL PURPOSES) TO THE GRANT AGREEMENT KNOWN AS PROJECT *r9-41-071-C 3I2
LUBBOCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AND THE DIRECTOR OF AVIATION IS HEREBY AUTHOR-
IZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT rI TO THE GRANT AGREEMENT FOR
PROJECT 9-41-071-C312 FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LUBBO CKs TEXAS.

MAN Simpson THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS DULY PASSED THIS

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT
WHEEiEAS, the Director, Southwest Region of the Federal Aviation Agency, has deter-
mined it to be in the interest of the United States of America that the Grant
Agreement between the Assistant Administrator, Southwest Region, of the Federal
Aviation Agency, acting by and on behalf of the United States, and the City of
Lubbock, Texas (hereinafter referred to as "Sponsor"), accepted by said Sponsor
on the 13th day of June, 1963, relating to the Lubbock Nkinicipal Airport,
Project No. 9-41-071-C312, be amended as hereinafter provided:

NOW T ,WITNESSETH:

That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto, the United
States of America on the one part, and the City of Lubbock, Texas on the other
part, do hereby mutually agree that the said Grant Agreement shall be and hereby
N is amended.

1. EV revising the description of the project as set forth in the second para-
graph, Page 1 of the Grant Agreement, to read as follows:
Acquire land (fee simple title or other property interests satisfactory
to the Administrator in and to Tract "F" as shown on Map Exhibit "A");
strengthen and mark (including incidental reconstruction) south 6600'
of NIS runway; widen to 75', light and mark the existing portion of
parallel taxiway to NIS runway including strengthening, lighting and
marking of connecting taxiways thereto; construct, light and mark that
portion of parallel taxiway from terminal apron to south end of NIS run-
way; construct, install M.I. lighting and mark E/W runway (6500' x 1509
including incidental relocation of utilities; construct, light and mark
portion of taxiway parallel to E�W runway, and strengthen, light and mark
?5' width of portion of existing NE/SW runway to be utilized as connecting
taxiway; construct, light and mark connecting taxiways to E/W runway;
enlarge and strengthen terminal area parking apron; construct holding
apron at south end of NIS runway; construct blast fence at north end
of NIS runway; light taxiways to east ramp; construct lighting vault;
obliterate pavement to be abandoned.
It is understood and agreed that the maximum amount of the obligation of the
United States under said Grant Agreement shall not be increased or decreased by
this Amendment

Texas hereinafter referred to as Sponsor"), do hereby certify:
That I have examined the foregoing Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement and the
proceedings taken by the Sponsor relating thereto and find that the acceptance
thereof by the Sponsor has been duly authorized, that the execution thereof is
in all respects due and proper and in accordance with the laws of the State of
Texas, and further that, in my opinion, said Amendment to Grant Agreement
constitutes a legal and binding obligation of the Sponsor in accordance with
the terms thereof.
