HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 101063J - Quit Claim - Oil Transport Company - Hudman Addition - 10_10_1963 Dps-iim --�- RESOLUTION 1010(p3T A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM ^ DEED FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO A PORTION OF 50TH STREET, OUT OF THE NORTHEAST ONE-FOURTH OF SECTION 2, BLOC LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF 1 THIS RESOLUTION. WHEREAS,, the City Commission finds that the following described portions of 50th Street heretofore closed and abandoned by Ordinance No. 4192 is no longer needed for public use as a public street; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed to Oil Transport Company covering the following described property, to-wit: Two parcels of land out of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 2, Block S, more fully described as follows; PARCEL I,` i BEGINNING at a point 246.5 feet East and 50 feet South of the Northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 2, Block S, said point being 10 feet North of the Northwest corner of Lot 2, Hudman Addition; THENCE East a distance of 123.2 feet to a point; i I THENCE North 10 feet to a point; THENCE West 12 3.2 feet to a point; i THENCE South 10 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. PARCEL IL BEGINNING at a point 419.7 feet East and 50 feet South of the Northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 2, Block S; THENCE East a distance of 227.27 feet to a point; i THENCE North 10 feet to a point; i THENCE West 227.27 feet to a point; THENCE South 10 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary shall attest to the signature of the Mayor to said deeds and shall affix the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto. STRONG, Mayctr ATTEST; Approved F City Attorney Lavenia Lowe, City,Secretary-Treasurer QUIT CLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS { KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LUBBOCK { THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND N0/100($1.00) DOLLARS, to it in hand paid by Oil Transport Company of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do, by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE, AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said Oil Trans- port Company their heirs and assigns, all its right title and interest in and to that certain tracts or parcels of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to-wit: Two parcels of land out of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 2, Block S, more fully described as follows: PARCEL L BEGINNING at a point 246.5 feet East and 50 feet South of the Northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 2, Block S, said point being 10 feet North of the Northwest corner of Lot 2, Hudman Addition; THENCE East a distance of 123.2 feet to a point; THENCE North 10 feet to a point; THENCE West 123.2 feet to a point; THENCE South 10 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, PARCEL II,- BEGINNING at a point 416.7 feet East and 50 feet South of the Northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 2, Block S; THENCE East a distance of 227.27 feet to a point; THENCE North 10 feet to a point; THENCE West 227.27 feet to a point; THENCE South 10 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any,manner belonging unto the.said Oil Transport Company, its successors and assigns, forever, so that neither it the said City of Lubbock nor its successors and assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under it shall, at any time hereafter, have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
