RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF AN AVENUE &S LISTED
BELOW.

WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street im-
) 'f provement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Hodges and
Tierney, Inc. (G.W.O. 2839) for the making and construction of street improve-
ments on a portion of an avenue in said City including the following:
East one-half of Indiana Avenue from its intersection with a line 16 feet
South of the South Property Line of 58th Street to its intersection with a
line 7 feet North of the South Property Line of 62nd Street (West Leg), known
and designated as Sub-Unit 6 of Unit Number 2109.
AND WHERFAS, the improvements upon the said portion of the above-
mentioned avenue, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in
accordance with terms of said contract G.W,O. 2839.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portion of the abovementioned avenue
be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby
authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release
escrow money.
II.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.

Gentlemen:
I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Hodges and
Tierney, Inc., paving contractor, under their contract dated July 9, 1963,
designated as G.W.O. 2839 and find the improvements on East 1/2 of Indiana
Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in
accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept
the improvements on said avenue, authorizing payment to the contractor the
amount shown an the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them
by the City of Lubbock.
