HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 082263G - Pavement Improvements - Kerr Construction Co - Multiple Locations - 08_22_1963 RESOLUTION 08MIG RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PCRTION OF STREETS ANDAR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Lyndale Acres, made arrangements with Kerr Construction Co, for the construction of paving improvements on certain <j streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance �y? prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Lyndale Acres including the following streets: Avenue C from its intersection with a line 15 feet North of the North Property Line of 51st Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet north of the alley North of 51st Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1322. Avenue B from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the alley South of 51st Street to its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 51st Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1323. 51st Street from its intersection with a line 11 feet West of the East Property Line of Avenue D to its intersection with a line 11.76 feet West of the West Property Line of Avenue & (North Leg) , known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1324. Avenue A from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the alley North of 51st Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the alley South of 51st Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1325. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the Cityts portion of the cost and to release escrow money. II. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 22ND DAY OF AUGUST, 1963. Jack F. Senter, Jr,, C#4 Attorney City of Lubbock POrter 3-3491 916 Texas Avenue " Lubbock, Texas August 22, 1963 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock,Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Construction Company, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Lyndale Lcres and find the improvements on 51st Street, Avenue A, Avenue B and Avenue C as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
