HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 072563C - Pavement Improvements - Pioneer Pavers Inc - Cherry Point Addition - 07_25_1963 RE S OL[TT I ON RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF A STREET AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Cherry Point Addition, made arrangement with Pioneer Pavers, Inc. for the construction of paving improvements on a Q certain street dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Cherry Point Addition including the following street: �3 East one-half of Guava Avenue (paving only) from its intersection with a line 3 feet north of the north property line of the alley south of east Cornell Street to its intersection with a line 15 feet south of the south property line of east Cornell Street, known and designated as part of New Sub Unit 1000 AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above mentioned street was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with city specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned street be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the city's portion of the cost and to release escrow money. II. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 25TH Y OF JULY, 963. Seater, Jr., CitXXttorney City of Lubbock it POrter 3-3491 low 916 Texas Avenue Lubbock, Texas July 25, 1963 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I'have examined the paving improvements constructed by Pioneer Pavers, Inc., 'paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers , of Cherry Point Addition and find the improvements on East 1/2 Guava Avenue (paving only) as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
