HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 071163F - Street Improvements - Kerr Construction Co - Mackenzie Terrace Addition - 07_11_1963 ` 4 t RESOLUTION Q RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Mackenzie Terrace Addition, made 3 arrangements with Kerr Construction Company 'for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under 6e provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Mackenzie Terrace, Lot 4, Tract D, including the following streets: East 5th Street from its intersection with the East Lip Line of Quirt:Avenue to its intersection with a line 38 feet West of the West Property Line of Redbud Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1245. Redbud Avenue from its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley North of 5th Street to its intersection with a line 38 feet West of the West Property Line of Redbud Avenue, known and designated a New Subdivision Unit Number 1246. East one-half of Quirt Avenue (curb and gutter only) from its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley south of 4th Street to its intersection with a line 13 feet South of the South Property Line of East 5th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1251. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with city specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementionedlstreets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the city's portion of the cost. II. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 11TH DAY OF JULY, 1963. ck F. Senter, Jr., Cit torney r City of Lubbock POrter 3-3491 ,v 916 Texas Avenue Lubbock, Texas July 11, 1963 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Construction Company, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Mackenzie Terrace Addition, Lot 4, Tract D, and find the improvements on East 5th Street and Redbud Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
