HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 061363E - Pavement Improvements - Pioneer Pavers - Southgate 2Nd Addition - 06_13_1963 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/QR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Southgate 2nd Addition, made arrange- ments with Pioneer Pavers for the construction of paving improvements on certain, streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Southgate 2nd f Addition including the following streets: l Part of 56th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Lot 7, White Oaks Addition, to its intersection with the West Property Line of Kenosha Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1189. Part of the east one-half of Memphis Avenue (curb and gutter only) from its intersection with a line 161 North of the North Property Line of 58th Street to its intersection with the centerline of the alley North of 57th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1213. Part of 55th Street from its intersection with a line llt West of the Nest Property Line of Memphis Avenue (South Leg) to its intersection with the East Property Line of Lot 1, Southgate 2nd Addition, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1264. .- 56th Street from its intersection with a line 161 East of the East Property Line of Memphis Avenue to its intersection with a line 4402 West of the West Property Line of Kenosha Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1265. Part of Memphis Avenue (curb and gutter only) from its intersection with a line - 15t South of the South Property Line of 55th Street (East Leg) to its inter- section with the centerline of the alley South of 56th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1266. Part of Memphis Avenue (curb and gutter only) from its intersection with a line 1.282 North of the North Property Line of the alley North of 55th Street (East Leg) to its intersection with a line 11' West of the West Property Line of Memphis Avenue (South Leg), known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1267. AND WBEREA.S, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with city specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OV LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the cityts portion of the cost and to release escrow money. City of Lubbock POrter 3-3491 916 Texas Avenue Lubbock, Texas June 13, 1963 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Pioneer Pavers, Inc., paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Southgate 2nd Add. and find the improvements on 55th Street, 56th Street and Memphis Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with Ithe plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
