RESO?T]TION
�- RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR
AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW:
WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of
City Ordinance 1331, 'the subdivider of Mackenzie Terrace Addition made
arrangements with Hodges and Tierney for the construction of paving improve-
ments on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions
of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Mackenzie
Terrace Addition including the following streets:
East Cornell Street from its intersection with a line 16 feet West of the West
Property Line of Walnut Avenue to its intersection with a line 16 feet West of
the West Property Line of 'Zenith Avenue, known and designated as New
Subdivision Unit Number 1207.
East Cornell Street from its intersection with a line 16 feet West of the West
Property Line of Walnut Avenue to its intersection with a line 15 feet East of
the East Property Line of Spruce Avenue, known and designated as New
Subdivision Unit Number 1215.
Spruce Avenue from its intersection with a line 2.5 feet North of the North
Property Line of the alley South of East Cornell Street to its intersection
with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley North of
East Cornell Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1216.
East Cornell Street from its intersection with a line 50 feet vest of the East
Property Line of Quirt Avenue to its intersection with a line 15 feet West of
the West Property Line of Spruce Avenue, known and designated as New
Subdivision Unit Number 1217.
East 1/2 of Quirt Avenue from its intersection with a line 2.5 feet North of
the North Property Line of the alley South of East Cornell Street to its
intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley
North of East Cornell Street (concrete only), known and designated as:New
Subdivision Unit Number 1218.
Walnut Avenue from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North
Property Line of the alley North of East Cornell Street to its intersection
with a line 14 feet North of the North Property Line of East Cornell Street
(West Leg), known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1219.
AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above-
mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer,
and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found
to have been constructed in accordance with city specifications and in
accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK" TEXAS.
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets
be and the same are hereby accepted and the City,Engineer be and he is hereby
authorized to direct the payment of the city's portion of the cost and to
release escrow money.
II.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage.

Gentlemen:
I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Hodges and
Tierney, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of
Mackenzie Terrace, hots 590 - 660 and find the improvements on East
Cornell Street, Spruce Avenue, East 1/2 of Quirt Avenue and Walnut Avenue
a,s listed'on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance
with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the
improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the
contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate
sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
