HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 052363A - Grant Application For Sewage Transmission And Treatment Facilities - 05/23/1963 tw &ESOLUPION 3A WHEREAS, it is contemplated that the City of Lubbock will construct certain sewage transmission and treatment facilities with an estimated total o/ cost of $796,208.00; and N WHEREAS, it is found that the City of Lubbock is unable to provide the total cost of such improvements; and WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and proper to apply for Federal grant under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, Public Law 660, 84th Congress in order to have sufficient funds to complete these much needed improvements; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: That Jack F. Strong, the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be and is hereby authorized and directed to make application, in the name of the City of Lubbock for a Federal grant under Public Law 660, 84th Congress; to be applied to the cost of the construction of said sewage facilities. The City of Lubbock hereby agrees that if a Federal grant for the project is made pursuant to the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, the City will pay the remaining costs of the approved project.
