RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PCRTIONS OF ALIEYS AS LISTED
BELOW AND OBDERING.THE ISSUANCE CF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE a?? ASSESSMENTS
\ IEVIED*
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various alley
JJ improvement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Frank B.
Hodges Contractors, Inc., G.W.O. 2775 for the making and construction of alley
improvements on portions of numerous alleys in said city including among
f_ others the following:
�) The north-south alley between Avenue Q and Avenue R from 14 feet south of the
north property line of loth Street to 55 feet south of the south property line
of 9th Street, known and designated as tub-Unit Number 13 of Unit Number Af350.
The north-south alley between Avenue F and Avenue G from the south property
line of Broadway to 12 feet south of the north property line of 13th Street,
known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 24 of Unit Number A-350.
The east-west alley between Broadway and 13th Street from 12 feet east of the
west property line of Avenue F to the east property line of Avenue G, known
and designated as Sub�Unit Number 25 of Unit Number A-350.
The north-south alley between Avenue H and Texas Avenue from 12 feet north of
the south property line of 16th Street to 15 feet south of the north property
line of 19th Street, known and designated as Sub-�Unit Number 36 of unit
Number Ap350.
The east&west alley between 33rd Street and 34th Street from 12 feet east of
the west property line of Avenue V to 300 feet west of the west property line
of Avenue V, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 45 of Unit Number A-3506
AND WMEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above-
mentioned alleys, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in
accordance with terms of said contract G.W*O. 2775.
THEREFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys,
be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby
authorized to direct payment of the cityIa portion of the cost.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed
to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied again t
the .parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the alleys listed
above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the
manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said
improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.
III
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage.

Gentlemen:
1 have examined the paving improvements constructed by Frank Be
Hodges Contractors; MMC'G, 'paving contractor, under their contract.dated,
$eptember W 1963, designated as 6.V,G. 2775 and find the improvements on
dub units 13, 24, 25, '36 and 45 of-Unit 1,-i350 as listed on'ihe final
estimate and assessment sheet to bave been completed in accordance with
the plans and specifications and recommend that you-accept the improvements
on said alleys, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown
on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet its due them by the City
of Lubbock and issue assignable certificates against property owners for the
respective amannts shown on the attached final assessment sheets as being
due against them and their respective properties.
