HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 022863G - Quit Claim - State Of Texas - Multiple Parcels Of Land - 02/28/1963 2 7 6 _ RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: I THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of said City, a Quit Claim Deed to the State of Texas l covering several parcels of land as more fully described in said Quit Claim Deed, j and said Quit Clam Deed shall be spread upon the Minutes of this Commission, and as spread upon the minutes of this Commission, same shall constitute and i be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. I',I — -- -- ------ ------- F, STRONG, Mayor ATTEST: _ Approved h Aftornay Lavenia Low 1 y sec etary Treasurer i f i Texas highway Department Form D-15-30 Page 1 of 4 Rev. 10-61 QUITCLAIM STATE OF TEXAS X X COUNTY OF LUBBOCK KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That City of Lubbock Municipal Power & Light of the County of State of Texas, hereinafter referred to as Grantors, whether one or more, for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollars, and other good and valuable consideration to Grantors in hand paid by the State of Texas, acting by and through the State Highway Commission, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no lien is retained, either expressed or implied, have quitclaimed, and do by these presents bargain, sell, release and forever quitclaim unto the State of Texas all of Grantors' right, title, interest, claim and demand in and to that certain tract or parcel of land, situated in the County of Lubbock , State of Texas, and being more particularly described as follows, tc wit: (1) Several parcels of land out of Section 18, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, conveyed to the State of Texas as follows: (a) From the City of Lubbock by condemnation, 9.001 acres as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 692, Page 615, and Volume 852, Page 297. (b) From L. H. Redwine and wife, Dorothy Redwine by deed, 4.329 acres as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock j County, Texas, Volume 698, Page 213. EXCEPTION to the quitclaim in Section 18 is a permit for a crossing at ap- proximate Highway Station 209+50. (2) A parcel of land consisting of 10.587 acres in Sections 12 and 17, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, conveyed by H. G. Lawson and wife, Lela Lawson to the State of Texas, by deed as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 688, Page 373. (3) Several parcels of land out of Section 11, Block A. Lubbock County, Texas, conveyed to the State of Texas as follows: (a) From Richard Adams, Annie Lou Adams, and Minnie Adams Powers by deed, 2.882 acres as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 790, Page 352. Form D-15-30 Page 2-A of 4 Rev. 10-61 (b) From Paul Pugh and wife, Edna Pugh by condemnation, 3.663 acres as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 708, Page 97. (c) From 0. C. Horne and wife, Bessie Lee Horne by deed, 8.539 acres as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 682, Page 145. (4) Several parcels of land out of Sections 15 and 16, block A, Lubbock County, Texas, conveyed to the State of Texas as follows: (a) From the Panhandle & Santa Fe Railway Company by deed, 2.185 acres out of Section 16 and 0.105 acres out of Section 15, as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 728, Page 224. (b) From Goodpasture Grain and ,Milling Company by deed, 0.977 acres out of Section 15, as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 758, Page 111. (c) From A. L. King and wife, Esther 0. King by deed, 11,136 acres out of Section 15, as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 697, Page 265. EXCEPTION to the quitclaim in Section 15 is a permit for a crossing at ap- proximate Highway Station 316+55. (5) Two parcels of land consisting of a 14.487 acre tract and a 36.943 acre tract in Section 5, Block A. Lubbock County, Texas, conveyed by the City of Lubbock to the State of Texas, by deed as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 820, Page 437. EXCPPTIOW:)to the quitclaim in Section 5 are permits for crossings at ap- proximate Highway Stations 428+10 and 486+90. (6) A parcel of land consisting of 5.998 acres in Section 6, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, conveyed by Hugh V. Newton and wife, Mary Newton to the State of Texas, by deed as recorded in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, Volume 674,,Page 259.
