Hodges, Inc. - GWO 2775 - 01_10_1963 1 RES OLUT ION o'lo(63A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING n4PROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFIES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS IEVIBD. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Frank B. Hodges F Contractors, Inc. (G.W.O. 2775) for the making and construction of alley improvements on portions of numerous alloys in said city including among others the follaming: The east-west alley between 4th St. and 5th St. and from 12 feet east of the west property line of Avenue T to 4 feet east of the west line of Lot 8, Block 34, Overton Addition, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 6 of Unit Number A-350. The north-south alley between Avenue L and Avenue K and from 15.9 feet north of the south property line of 4th Street to 12 feet south of the north property line of 5th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 9 of Unit Number A-350. The east-west alley between 19th Street and 20th Street and from 12 feet west of the east property line of Avenue W to 12 feet east of the west property line of Avenue V, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 43 of Unit Number A-350. The east-west alley between 49th Street and 50th Street and from the west property line of Avenue U to the east property line of Avenue V, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 51 of Unit Number A-350. The east-west alley between 20th Street and 21st Street and from the east property line of Nashville Avenue to the west property line of Miami Avenue, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 55 of Unit Number A-350. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementioned allays, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 2775). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorised to direct payment of the cityls portion of the cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the alloys listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied. III. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
