CITY OF LUBBOCK
MEMORADrDUX inter Office
TO: Mrs. Lowe, City Secretary WO November 23, 1962
FROM: Fred O. Senter, Jr. , City Attorney
SUBJECT: Urban Renewal Commissioners
You will find attached a Resolution appointing Commissioners of the Urban
Renewal Agency. One other name will be added to the Resolution and should be
inserted right after the name of Mrs. Robert E. Casperson in Section 1. In
addition we have prepared Certificates of Appointment for Messrs. Garrett,
Suter, Reeves and Mrs. Casperson. As soon as the other Commissioner is
appointed, a similar Certificate should be drawn'either in your office or ours
and each of the Commissioners should sign the Oath of Office, copes of which
we are also attaching hereto.
You will notice in the Resolution that the term of office for the Commissioners
of Urban Renewal Agency is two years. This is in compliance with the state law
and any variation from the state law would make the appointments invalid. This
has been called to the attention of Mr. Clihton and the Mayor and they are familiar
with this situation. The name of Mrs. McLarty was omitted because she has
declined to serve,
