HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 112062A - Paving Improvements- Pioneer Pavers, Inc.- Subdivider Of Pleasant Ridge Addition - 11_20_1962 d 1106Z A RES OLUT ION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of �1 City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Pleasant Ridge Addition, made arrange- ments with Pioneer Pavers, Inc. for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Pleasant Ridge Addition including the following streets: 6th Street from its intersection with a line 11.00 feet west of the east property line of Slide Road to its intersection with a line 3.00 feet east of the east property line of Vicksburg Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1179. Vicksburg Avenue (west side concrete only) from its intersection with a line 3.00 feet north of the north property line of the alley south of 6th Street to its intersection with a line 15.00 feet south of the south property line of 6th Street, known and designated as Part of New Subdivision unit Number 1180. Vicksburg Avenue (west side concrete only) from its intersection with a line 15.00 feet north of the north property line of 6th Street (west leg) to its intersection with a line 3.00 feet north of the north property line of the alley north of 6ih Street, known and designated as Part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1181. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, an said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with city specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted, providing the contractor provides maintenance on these improvements for a period of one year, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the cityls portion of the cost and to release escrow money. Seater, Jr C ty Attorney CITY OF LUBBOCK pCV.- TEXAS November 20, 1962 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Pioneer Pavers, Inc., paving contractor, under their contract tith the subdividers of Pleasant Ridge'Addition and find the improvements an'6th Street and Vicksburg Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
