HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 110862H - Paving Improvements - Hodges & Tierney - Subdivider Of Wilshire Park Addition - 11_08_1962 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOWs WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Wilshire Park Addition, made arrange- ments with Hodges and Tierney for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Wilshire Park Add- ition, including the following streets: Zenith Avenue (East side concrete only) from its intersection with a line 15.00 feet north of the North Property Line of East Colgate Street to its intersectio with a line 3.00 feet north of the North Property Line of the alley North of East Colgate Street, known and designated as a part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1018. East Cornell Street from its intersection with a line 16 feet east of the East Property line of Zenith Avenue to its intersection with a line 15 feet west of the West Property line of Cherry Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivisio Unit Number 1085. Cherry Avenue (west side concrete only) from its intersection with a line 15 feet north of the North Property line of Cornell Street to its intersection wit a line 3 feet north of the North Property Line of the alley south of East Cornell Street known and designated as Part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1086 Zenith Avenue from its intersection with a line 15 feet north of the North Prop erty Line of East Cornell Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property line of the alley south of East Cornell Street known and designated as Part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1087. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance faith City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TESAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted, providing the contractor provides mainten- ance on the street improvement for the period of one year, and the City Engin eer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the Cityts portion of the cost. November 8, 1962 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemens I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Hodges and .Tierney, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Wilshire Park Addition and find the improve- ments on Cornell Street, Zenith and Cherry Avenues as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
