RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION 1410 - 6/9/83
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deems it to be in the
best interest of the City of Lubbock to cast a vote on behalf of the City of
Lubbock for the candidate for the Region 3 member of the Board of Trustees of
the Texas Municipal League Insurance Trust Fund favored by the City Council of
the City of Lubbock, NOW THEREFORE: .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and
directed to complete and forward to the Texas Municipal League Trust Fund an
official ballot reflecting a vote in favor of the following candidate for the
Region 3 position on the Board of Trustees:

SUBJECT: Board of Trustees Election
Article 5, Bylaws of the Texas Municipal League Insurance Trust Fund, stipulates
that "All Board Member positions after the original appointments shall be subject
to election by the members of the Fund in each designated TML region."
The name of Alan Henry, Mayor Pro Tem, Lubbock, Texas, has been placed in nomi-
nation to represent your TML region on the 15-member Board of Trustees that
administers the $25-million TML health, life and dental program. The names of
the city officials currently serving on the Board of Trustees is attached for
your information.
Alan Henry has been a member of the Lubbock City Council since 1974
and has been serving as Mayor Pro Tem. since 1978. He is .a partner
in The Insurance Group, A General Agency, which gives him a working
knowledge of the insurance industry. Mr. Henry is currently on the
TML Board of Directors and has served recently as its president.
The background statement above is presented as information only; Fund members
are free to write in a vote for a person other than the one nominated.
Ballot must reach the TML office no later than June 25, 1983.

CANNOT BE COUNTED.
INSTRUCTIONS: The name of the official listed on this ballot has
been nominated to serve a three-year term on the Board of
Trustees.
Each Texas Municipal League Insurance Trust Fund member is en-
titled to cast a vote for a candidate to represent the cities of
their region. Any Fund member may cast a write-in vote for a
candidate for the office of Trustee in lieu of the name printed
on the ballot.
