Way As City Health Officer - 07_28_1983DGV:da PV4Z nT YTTTnM RESOLUTION 1317-A - 7/28/83 WHEREAS, the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, acting by and through its Health Sciences Center, has provided a staff physician to serve as City Health Officer for the City of Lubbock; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock finds said physician to be qualified to serve in such capacity; and WHEREAS, the City Council hereby elects such physician to said office by a majority vote of the governing body in accordance with the provisions of Vernon's Ann.Civ.St., art. 4425; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT Anthony B. Way, M.D., is hereby elected and appointed City Health Officer for the City of Lubbock, Texas, effective immediately upon passage of this Resolution. Passed by a majority vote of the City Councillthis 28th day of Jul , 1983. E.
