HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 4157 - Special Warranty Deed - LRMHMR Center - 2200 E 19Th Street - 05_27_1993Resolution No. 4157 May 27, 1993 Item #27 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deems it to be in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to convey an 8.0 acre tract to the Lubbock Regional Mental Health and Mental Retardation Agency for construction of a hospital facility at that location; and WHEREAS, such conveyance is authorized by Sections 534.018 and 534.019 of the Texas Health and Safety Code and by Article 9, Section 13, of the Texas Constitution; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Special Warranty Deed by and between the City of Lubbock and Lubbock Regional Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center conveying 8.0 acres of land from the City to the Center, a copy of which Deed is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully copied here in�hdi' . ,,��---------- Passed by the City Council th's 27of�� y 993. Box 2000, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas 79457 Grantee: LUBBOCK REGIONAL MENTAL HEALTH MENTAL RETARDATION CENTER, an agency of the State of Texas Grantee's Mailing Address: 1210 Texas Avenue, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas 79401 Consideration: TEN AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged and confessed. This conveyance is being made and accepted pursuant to Section 534.018 and Section 534.019 of the Texas Health and Safety Code and Article 9, Section 13 of the Texas Constitution. The property conveyed herein will be fulfilling the public purpose of providing indigent psychiatric care. Property. METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of an 8.0000 acre tract of land located in Section 3, Block 8, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears S. 00001'22' W. a distance of 1,932.03 feet and N. 89059'58" W. a distance of 2,266.96 feet from the Northeast corner of Section 3, Block 8, Lubbock County, Texas, same point being the Southeast corner of a tract of land described in Volume 1308, Page 125, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE N. 00001'34" W., along the East line of said tract described in Volume 1308, Page 125, a distance of 600.00 feet; THENCE S. 89059'58" E. a distance of 292.40 feet; THENCE S. 57000'34" E. a distance of 426.47 feet; THENCE S. 00001'34' E. a distance of 367.79 feet; THENCE N. 89059'58" W. a distance of 650.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Reservations from and Exceptions to Conveyance and Warranty: This conveyance is made and accepted subject to outstanding minerals, easements, royalties, oil and gas leases and restrictions, if any.
