Garrett - GWO 2668 Multiple Locations - 01_11_1962 /�z4 RESOLUTION r RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OT CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various alley improve- ment ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with R. L. Garrett (G.W.O. 2668) for the making and construction of alley improvements on portions of numerous alleys in said City including among others the following; The East-West alley between 19th Street and 18th Street from its intersection with a line 12 feet East of the West Property Line of Avenue S to its inter- section with a line 192.7 feet East of the East Property Line of Avenue T, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 21 of Unit Number A-344. The North-South alley between Paris Avenue and Avenue P from its intersection with a line 295 feet South of the South Property Line of 3rd Street to its intersection with a line 6 feet South of the North Property Line of 4th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 37 of Unit Number A-344. The North-South alley between Avenue 0 and Avenue Q from its intersection with the South Lip Line of 4th Street to its intersection with a line 40.41 feet South of the North Property Line of 5th Street (West Leg), known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 38 of Unit Number A-344. The North-South alley between Avenue Q and Avenue R from its intersection with -- a line 14 feet North of the South Property Line of 7th Street to its intersec- tion with a line 14 feet South of the North Property Line of 8th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 39 of Unit Number A-344. The North-South alley between Avenue O and Avenue Q from its intersection with a line 22 feet North of the South Property Line of Broadway to its intersection with a line 12 feet South of the North Property Line of 13th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 40 of Unit Number A-344. The North-South alley between Avenue N and Avenue 0 from its intersection with the South Property Line of 13th Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of the East-West alley South of 13th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 41 of Unit Number A-344. The East-West alley between 13th Street and 14th Street from its intersection with a line 5 feet West of the East Property Line of the North-South alley West of Avenue N to its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue N, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 42 of Unit Number A-344. The North-South alley between Avenue J and Avenue K from its intersection with a line 21.5 feet North of the South Property Line of 5th Street to its intersection with a line 12 feet South of the North Property Line of 6th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 43 of Unit Number A-344. The North-South alley between Avenue J and Avenue K from its intersection with a line 21.5 feet North of the South Property Line of 8th Street to its inter- section with a line 21.5 feet South of the North Property Line of 9th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 44 of Unit Number A-344. r 7 r r AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above- mentioned alleys have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 2668). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the Cityls portion of the cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the alleys listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied. Garrett, paving contractor, under his contract dated March 23, 1962, designated as G.W.O. 2668 and find the improvements on Units A-344 - 21,37,38,39,40,41,42,43 and 44 as listed on the final estimate and assessment sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said alleys, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due him by the City of Lubbock and issue assignable certificates against property owners for the re- spective amounts shown on the attached final assessment sheets as being due against them and their respective properties.
