HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 121461D - Quit Claim - Raymond Billingsly - Gordon Bozeman Addition - 12_14_1961 -JMG we --- ---- =-�_ —� RESOLUTION k' WHEREAS, the City Commission found by virtue of Ordinance No. 3643 that ,y portions of streets be abandoned, vacated and closed and Weremo longer needed for street purposes; and, WHEREAS, the owners of the strips of land have requested that the City I execute to them a quit claim deed to said strips in order to clear up any confusion as to the title of said strips which now may exist in the deed records; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is necessary and expedient and in the public interest that said quit claim deed be executed; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OFLUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock to execute and deliver to Raymond Billingsly, for and in consideration of sum of ONE AND N0/100 ($1. 00) DOLLARS, a quit claim deed to a parcel of land out of Section 3, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, and described as follows, to-wit: A parcel or portion of land in Block 2, Gordon Bozeman Addition to the City of Lubbock, and more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the most Southerly corner of Lot 15, Block 2, of the said Gordon Bozeman Additiop.; THENCE Northeasterly along Lots 15 and 14, Block 2, of said Gordon -. Bozeman Addition a distance of 100 feet to the most Easterly corner of said Lot 14, Block 2, Gordon Bozeman Addition; THENCE Southeasterly a distance of 7.5 feet to a point; THENCE Northeasterly parallel to and A.5 feet Southeasterly from said Lots 13, 12, and 11, Block 2, Gordon Bozeman Addition a distance of 124. 16 feet to a point; THENCE South 10.44 feet to a point inthe Northwesterly line of Lot 16, Block 2, Gordon Bozeman Addition; THENCE Southwesterly along the Northwesterly side of Lot 16, Block 2, a distance of 203.54 feet to a point; THENCE East along the South side of Lot 16, Block 2, a distance of 74.61 feet to a point; THENCE Southerly on a curve to the left having a radius of 50 feet a distance of 26. 18 feet to a point; THENCE West a distance of 135. 1 feet to a point in Northeasterly line of Lot 1, Block 4; THENCE Northwesterly along the line of said Lot 1, Block 4, A distance h of 19.43 feet to a point; THENCE Northeasterly on a curve to the right having a radius of 125 feet a distance of 80.45 feet to a point in West line of Lot A5; THENCE Southeasterly along the Southwesterly side of Lot 15, Block 2, a distance of 94.5 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. However, thtt it is intended to exclude from the quit claim deed the utility and drainage easements executed of evenchte herewith on herein described property. SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to attest the signature of the Mayor to said Quit Claim Deed affixing the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto. Casey, ayor. to convey the certain tract or parcel of land hereinafter described, reference being made to said Resolution of Appoint- ment now of record in book gage 450 0€the Minutes of the City Commie- siob of the City of Lubbock, exas; NOVfR'k:FORE: KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: THAT the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule municipality in the County of Lubbock, and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND N0/100 ($1.00) DOLLARS, to it in hand paid by Raymond Billingsley, of the County of Lubbock.
