Galbreath - Gordon Bozeman Addition - 12_14_1961 - ---_JM :wg Y .6 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, heretofore the City of Lubbock purchased all of Lot 8, Block 4, of the Gordon Bozeman Addtion tafkie City of Lubbock for use as right-of-way for Loop 289; and, (� WHEREAS, all land'needed for said purpose is utilized and there remains a portion, hereinafter described, that is not necessary for street purposes or forj any other purpose in the public interest; and, f WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock finds that it would be expedient and in the public interest to convey certain lands now owned by the City of Lubbock to C. L. (4:Llbreath who has expressed a desire to purchase same; and, WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock finds after careful consideration by the governing body that the sum of One Hundred Seventy and No/100 ($ 0 00 DOLLARS receive rom C. L. U1.1breath by the City of Lubbock which is fair and equitable to the City of Lubbock, its inhabitants and the general public, and is the value of the land herein to be conveyed; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock to C. L. Gklbreath conveying a parcel, portion or part of a lot being described particularly and fully by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit: A portion of Lot 8, Block 'A, Gordon Bozeman Addition to the City 1 of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of said Lot 8, Block 4, Gordon Bozeman Addition; THENCE West 32. 83 feet to a point; THENCE South 45051T West a distance of 2.2 feet to point; THENCE South 400421 East a distance of 51. 8 feet to a point; THENCE North a distance of 41. 05 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to attest the signature of the Mayor to said Quit Claim Deed affixing the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto.
