RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR
AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW:
WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of
City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Beverly Heights Addition, made
arrangements with Frank B. Hodges Construction, Inc. for the construction of
paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under
the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision
plat of Beverly Heights Addition including the following streets:
Avenue W from its intersection with a line 15 feet south of the south property
line of 70th Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet south of the north
property line of Loop 289, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit
Number 1036.
70th Street from its intersection with a line 110 feet east of the east
property line of Avenue W to its intersection with a line 15 feet north of
the north property line of 71st Street, known and designated as New
Subdivision Unit Number 1037.
71st Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet east of the east proper-
ty line of Avenue W to its intersection with a line 16 feet west of the W.P.L.
of Avenue U, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1038.
AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above-
mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer,
and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found
to have been constructed 'in accordance with city specifications and in
accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS.
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets
be and the same are hereby accepted, providing that the contractor provides
maintenance on the street improvements for the period of one year, and the
City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the
city's portion of the cost.
II.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.

I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Frank B.
Hodges Construction Company Inc., paving contractor, under his contract
with the subdividers of Beverly Heights Addition and find the improve-
ments on 70th Street, 71st Street and Avenue W as listed on the final es-
timate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and spec-
ifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets
and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown
on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due him by the
City of Lubbock.
