HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 102661N - Street Improvements - Kerr Paving Co - GWO 2660 Multiple Locations - 10_26_1961 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS, STREETS,AND/ .^ OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELM AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve- ment ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Kerr Paving Company (G.W.O. 2660) for the making and construction of street and/or alley improvements on portions of numerous alleys, streets and/or avenues in said city including among others the following: Avenue J from its intersection with a line 5 feet north of the north property line of 42nd Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet north of the north property line of 41st Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 23 of Unit Number 2046. 43rd Street from its intersection with a line 11.5 feet east of the east property line of Avenue L (north side) to its intersection with a line 7 feet west of the east property line of Avenue J. known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 24 of Unit Number 2046. 42nd Street from its intersection with a line 14 feet west of the west propert line of Avenue H (south side) to its intersection with a line 7 feet east of the east property line-of Railroad Hight-of-way (north side), known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 27 of Unit Number 2046. „ 36th Street from its intersection with a line 11.5 feet east of the west r- property line of Avenue G to its intersection with a line 8 feet east of the east property line of Avenue E, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 60 of Unit Number 2046. 36th Street from its intersection with a line 8 feet east of the east property line of Avenue E to its intersection with a line 15 feet east of the east property line of Avenue C, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 61 of Unit Number 2046. 36th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet east of the east property line of Avenue C to its intersection with a line 15 feet east of the east property line of Avenue B, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 62 of Unit Number 2046. 36th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet east of the east property line of Avenue B to its intersection with a line 37 feet east of the west property line of Avenue A, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 63 of 1Jnit Number 2046. Walnut Avenue from its intersection with a line 75 feet north of the south property line of Parkway Drive to its intersection with a line 11 feet south of the north property line of 4th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2047. 58th Street from its intersection with a line 16 feet west of the west property line of Peoria Avenue to its intersection with a line 16 feet west of the west '1 property line of Nashville Avenue, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 2048. East 13th Street from its intersection with a line 8 feet east of the east property line of Redbud Avenue (north side) to its intersection with a line 130 feet east of the east property line of-Redbud Avenue (north side), known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 26 of Unit Number 2048. 61st Street from its intersection with the east paving line of Avenue A to its intersection with the northeast corner of Lot 1 of the Soash-White Industrial Addition, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 5 of Unit Number 2051. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above- mentioned alleys, streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 2660). THEREFORE, BE Tr RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys, streets, and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, providing the contractor provides maintenance on the street improvements for a period of one year on all units except 2047-1 and 2048-26, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the Cityls portion of the cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the alleys, streets and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied. III. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 26TH DAY OF OCTOBER 1961. David C.
