HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 102661G - Street Improvements - Pioneer Pavers Inc - Access Road On North Side Of 19Th St. - 10_26_1961 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DIPROV TENTS ON A PORTION OF A STREET AS LISTED :f BELOW: WHEREAS, THE CITY Of Lubbock passed a resolution on August loth, 1961 authorizing the construction of street improvements by Pioneer Pavers, Inc. on _. a portion of the following streets: Access Road on the North side of 19th Street from its intersection with a line 35 feet west of the east property line of Quaker to its intersection with a line 8 feet east of the east property line of Peoria Avenue known and designated as Unit 2070. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portion of the above- mentioned street have been inspected and found to have been constructed accor- ding to the approved plans and specifications. THEREFORE9 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS I. That the improvements on said portion of the abo vementioned street be, and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's share. II. This resolution shall take effect and be in force after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 26th DAY OF OCTOBER 1961. David C. Senter,Jr. , city rney CITY OF LUBBOCK L�11� TEXAS October 26, 1961 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Pioneer Pavers, Inc., paving contractor, as authorized by a resolution passed on August 10th, 1961 and find the improvements on North Access Road of 19th Street between Quaker Avenue and Peoria Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final eatimate sheet as due them by the City Of Lubbock. very truly yours, ohn T.
