HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 101261R - Pavement Improvements - Hodges And Tierney Inc - Beverly Heights Addition - 10_12_1961 r< Z4 RESOLUTION RLSOLLF ION ACCEPTING IPSPROVEIfENTS ON POr.TIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WhEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of ,�-- City Ordinance 1331) the subdivider of Beverly Heights Addition, made arrange- ments with bodges and Tierney, Inc. for the construction of paving improve- ments on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Beverly Heights Addition including the following streets: 73rd Street from its intersection with a line 12 feet West of the East Property Line of Avenue W to its intersection with a line 12 feet East of the West Property Line of Avenue U known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 918. Last one-half of Avenue W from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley North of 73rd Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 73rd Street known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 919. Avenue U from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley North of 73rd Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 73rd Street known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 920. Avenue U from its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 68th Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet Forth of the North Property Line of the alley North of 73rd Street known and designated as Unit Number 2031. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. TiiERFORL, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets e and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the Cityts portion of the cost and to elease escrow money. TEXAS October 12, 1961 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Hodges and Tierney, Inc., paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Beverly Heights Addition and find the improvements on 73rd Street, East one-half of Avenue W and Avenue U as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
