RESOLUTION i
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS, STREETS,
AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN
EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. k
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street im-
provement ofdinances and resolutions and entered into contract with R.L.
Garrett (G.W.O. 2668) for the making and construction of street and/or alley
improvements on portions of numerous.!alleys, streets and/or avenues in said
! City including among others the followings
IThe east-west alleybetween 33rd Street and 34th Street from its intersection '

with the east property line of Knoxville Avenue to its intersection with the }
west property line of Joliet Avenue known and designated as Sub-Unit number E,
� 6 of Unit number A-344.
! The east-west alley between 33rd Street and 34th Street from its intersection
with the east property line of Flint Avenue to its intersection with the
Iwest property line of Elgin Avenue known and designated as Sub-Unit number
' 8 of Unit number A-344, j
, The .east-west alley between 33rd Street and 34th Street from its intersection
( with a line 12 feet west of the east property line of Avenue N to its inter-
section with a line 12 feet east of the west property line of Avenue M
known and designated as Sub-Unit number 11 of Unit number A-344.

The east-west alley between 33rd Street and 34th Street from its intersection
with a line 8.95 feet west of the east property line of Avenue L to its
intersection with a line 12 feet east of the west property line of Avenue
J known and designated as Sub-Unit number 12 of Unit number A-344.

The east-west alley between 28th Street and 29th Street from its intersection j
with a line 2e feet west of the east property line of Avenue Q to its inter- it
section with the east line of lot 91 block 1, Edwards Addition known and
designated as Sub-Unit number 13 of Unit number A-344.
The east-west alley between 23rd Street and 24th Street from its intersection
with the west property line of Avenue Q to its intersection with the west
line of lot 4, block 17, McCrummens 2nd Additions known and designated
as Sub-Unit number 14 of Unit number A-344.
The east-west alley between 22nd Street and 23rd Street from its intersection ;+
with the west property line of Avenue Q to its intersection with the west .
line of lot 4, block 14, McCrummens 2nd Addition known and designated as
j Sub-Unit number 15 of Unit number A-344.
The north-south alley between Avenue Q and Dixie Drive from its intersection
f with a line 15 feet north of the south property line of 19th Street to its
! intersection with the south line of lot 18$ block 11 Dixieland Addition known 9'

AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above—
mentioned alleys, streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found
to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. III
j 2668).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TERASt
Jhat the improvements on said portions of the. abovementioned alleys I'
streets.' and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted$ and the City
Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the Cityts
portion of the cost.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instruvted
to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied
against the parcels of ,property abutting upon the said portions of the alleys,
streets and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such..P.rnperty

Gentlemen:
I have examined the paving improvements constructed by
R.L. Garrett, paving contractor, under his contract dated March 24,
1961, designated as G.'W,O. 2668, and find the improvements on the
east-west alleys between 33rd Street and 34th Street from Knoxville
Avenue to Joliet Avenue, Elgin Avenue to Flint Avenue, Avenue N to
Avenue M, Avenue L to Avenue J, and between 28th Street and 29th
Street from Avenue Q to the east 155? between 23rd and 24th Street
from Avenue Q west 1601 between 22nd Street and 23rd Street from
Avenue Q west 1601 and the N.-S: alley between Avenue Q and Avenue
R from 19th Street to 20th Street and the N.S. alley between Ave.
Q and Dixie Drive from 19th Street south 3001.as listed on the final
estimate and ,assessmixt sheet to haver been completed in accordance
with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept
the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing pay-
ment to the contractor the amount shown on 'the attached*consolifla-
fed final estimate sheet as due him by the City of Lubbock and
issue assignable certificates against property owners for the res-
pective amounts shown on the attached final assessment sheets as
being due against them' and their respective properties.
