RESOLUTION WOO f K
" WHEREAS, the Lubbock Home Builderts Association desires to use a part
of Belmont Avenue and 44th Street as hereinafter more particularly described,
together with abutting lots, in connection with a planned home display to be called
the 11Calvacade of Homes"; and, i
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that permitting the use of such street
temporarily in connection with such home show and public exhibition of the entire
project will be of great public interest and benefit; NOW THEREFORE:
f BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
a License to the Lubbock Home Builderts Association to use that part of 44th
Street and of Belmont Avenue described as follows, to-wit:
To temporarily use and close that portion of 44th Street
adjacent to Lots 137, 138, 139, 140, 141, 155, 156, 157,
158, 15.9 and 160 of Richland Hills Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and that portion of Bel-
mont Avenue adjacent to Lots 138 and 139 of said Richland
Hills Addition,
such use and temporary- closing being permitted for the period beginning August 8,
1961, and ending September 18, 1961, inclusive.
The License shall be conditioned upon the said Association agreeing to reim
burse the City of Lubbock at the end of the use period for any and all damages to
the streets which may occur during the time such streets are temporarily closed,
or resulting from any use connected with such occupancy, and further conditioned
that said Association at its own cost shall provide adequate public liabilityaid
property damage insurance on behalf of the City protecting it from any and all
claims and all damages or loss resulting to any person or persons during the
effective term of said License. And further conditioned that upon the expiration
of the term of said License that the Licensee shall promptly remove any and all
obstructions from said streets. And further conditioned that all obstructions
placed on such streets and all barricades blocking vehicular traffic into the subjet
area shall be of such design and at such locations as to allow fast and expedient
removal in the event such streets are needed for the passage of emergency
vehicles.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary-Treasurer is authorized and directed
to attest the signature of the Mayor to such License affixing the seal of the City of
Lubbock thereto.

STREET USA LICENSE
TO
LUBBOCK HOME BUILDERIS ASSOCIATION
} This License is made and granted to the Lubbock Home Builder's
Association, as authorized by Resolution of the City Commission of the
► City of Lubbock, dated and passed the 10tk day of August ,
1961, as follows:
1. The Lubbock Home Builder's Association is hereby
granted the right to use and temporarily close that portion
of 44th Street adjacent to Lots 137, 138, 139, 140, 141,
155, 156, 157, 158, 159 and 160 of Richland Hills Addition
=:5 to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and that
portion to Belmont Avenue adjacent to Lots 138 and 139 of
said Richland Hills Addiion, for the purpose of exhibiting
homes in connection with the biding and improvements on
abutting property.
2. This License shall be effective for the period beginning
August 8, 1961 and ending September 18, 1961, inclusive.
3. Tlis License shall be conditioned upon the said Association
agreeing to reimburse the City of Lubbock at the end of the use
period for any and all damages to the streets which may occur
during the time such streets are temporarily closed, or result-
ing from any use connected with such occupancy, and further
conditioned that said Association at its own cost shall provide

This License is issued subject to acceptance by the Lubbock Home
Builder's Association and such acceptance shall constitute the Assot;iationts
Agreement to fully comply with the provisions and conditions of this License,
an executed copy of which sshall be filed with the City Secretary.
