I A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED TO NORTHCREST BAPTIST CHURCH CONVEYING PROPERT DESCRIBED HEREIN. WHEREAS, the City Commission as governing body of the City of Lubbock, Texas, a municipal corporation, has determined to offer for sale certain lands hereinafter specifically described; and, WHEREAS, it is contemplated to sell Laid lands to Northcrest Baptist Church for a total consideration of $12,500.00; and, WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is to the best interests of said City of Lubbock and the citizens thereof that such sale be made; and, WHEREAS, the land proposed for sale is described as follows: All that certain parcel of land in Lubbock County, Texas, out of Section Twelve (12), Block A in said County and State and describ ed by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the West line of North College Avenue and the North Section line of said Section 12, Block A, said point being 130.6 feet West of the Northeast corner of said Section 12, Block A; THENCE.North 89055' West, 521 feet; THENCE South 0005t West 418 feet; THENCE South 890551 East, 521 feet more or less to a point in the West line of College Avenue; THENCE North 1016t West along the West line of North College Avenue a distance of 157.9 feet to a point; THENCE North 0015t West along the West line of North College Avenue 260.1 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to execute a special warranty deed conveying to Northcrest Baptist Church the property described in this Resolution.
