L. Garrett, Contractor, and, Wllldi &S, the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock- has caused the City Engineer to prepare and file estimates of the cost of such improvements and estimates of the amounts per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof, and such estimates have been prepared and examined; T-1=IC ,, BE IT RESOD-a) BY T! I,:OTICE TO TITL 0� 17ERS C FROTaLTY ABUTTING UFOI TTE H,,-REI1MEL0J IwP'TIOF'!ED FMTIOITS Or, 21 EYS AP,'D TO ALL OTMIS ETECT`M: The Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the following portions of alleys in and along the boundary of the said City of Lubbock, Texas, be improved by raising, grading and filling and in- stalling concrete curbs and gutters and storm sewers and drains where nec- essary on alleys, designated beloi;-: It is hereby found and deteri-Aned that the cost of improvements on such portions of said alleys with the amount or amounts per front foot pro- posed to be assessed for such improvements against the abutting property and the owners thereof, on the portions of said alleys are as follows, to-wit: For all ten (101) foot wide alleys I.nown and desiCrxated as Unit la aber.A-34-4, the total estimated cost of improvements was 4109,788.55, the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against the abutting property, other than that used. for single family or two family residential purposes, and owners thereof for improvements is ;i;"2.81358&842. The amount to be as- sessed against the abutting property used for two f:anily residential purposes and the owners thereof is 01.563104,912. For abutting property used for single family residential purposes it has been found that the increased property value is not as large as the improvement cost, so there is no assessment against this property and the owners thereof. A-344-44 N-S Alley Between Avenues J & K & in the block South of 8th St. For the alley containing the railway known and designated as Unit 1-329, the total estiiiated cost of improvements was 5,866.75, the amount per front foot to be assessed against the abutting property and the owners thereof is 5 3.70254`07. The amount to be assessed against the railway company is <:"�3,727.50- - 4-329 Y-S ILUey between Lvenues G & H and in the Block South of 16th Street. And arrangement for the makin and construction of such improvements in alleys and with pavement of five (51' inch reinforced concreterslab in alleys has been made and entered into by the City of Lubbock, Texas, and rolls or statements' shoizing the proposed amounts to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof have been filed wit'-a the City, such rolls or statements showing other matters and things, and have been apnroved and the City Commission of said City has fired a time and place for hearing to the owners of property abutting upon said portions of alleys, and to all others effected, at which hearing the amounts to be assessed against the respective parcels of abutting land and the owners thereof for improvements in the units upon which the particular parcels of property abut, the amounts of benefits to the respective parcels of property by means of the improvements in the unit upon which the particular property abuts, the regularity of the proceedings with reference to such Lznprovement;, the apportionment of the cost of such improvements, and other natters and thinro Trill be detormi..ned, and after such hearings assessments will by ordinance be made and levied, and such hearing will be had and held by and before the City CoTmiis�3ion of the City of Lubbock, Texas, in regular Comriission meeting room in the Central Fire Station at 6th Street and Avenue K in the City of lubluock,•Texas on the 27th day of April, 1961, at 2:00 P.11. o'clock. The rolls or statements showing the proposed amounts of such assessments are on file in the office of the City Secretary and copies thereof are in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Lubbock and open to inspection of any interested parties at any time., and of all said r.iatters and thing; all such owners of property, as well as any and others in aynytzise affected or interested, will take due notice. By order of the City Coimaission of the City of Lubbock, this the 13th day of April, 1961. Ub notice other than that hereinabove provided for shall be necessary out publication of such notice shall be due and sufficient notice to any and all persons, firms, corporations and other parties. Such hearing shall be given and held on the 2 7 th day of :pril, 1961, at :00 F.L. o'clock at the Central Fire Station at 6th Street and Avenue Ii, City • f Lubbock, .T cas and the City Secretary is hereby directed to give notice of .he time and place of such hearing, and of other matters and facts in accord- nce with the terms and provisions of an Act passed at the first fcalled session of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas and known as Chapter 106 f the Acts of said Legislature which has been adopted as an amendment to and mde a part of the Charter of the City of Lubbock, Texas, and as amended by hapter 281 Acts of the 52nd Eenzlar Session ,of 'said-Leg slatu e. r 4 Such notice shall be by advertisement inserted at least -three times in a news- paper published in the City of Lubbock, Texas; the first publication shall be made at least 'ten days before the said hearing. Said notice shall comply with and be in accordance with the terms and provisions of this resolution and said Act as a-mended.
