RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
The Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execut
a joint assessment lien release on behalf of said City with Pioneer Pavers, Inc.x
with respect to an assessment made against Carroll J. Wood., an abutting propert
owner. A copy of said release shall be spread upon the minutes of this Commis-
sion, and as spread upon the minutes.of this Commission same shall constitute
and be a part of this resolution.
Passed by the City Commission this 19th day of April a 1961.

JOINT PAYING RELEASE
THE STATE OF TEXAS [
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK [
WHEREAS, the owner of certain hereinafter described property has
represented to the undersigned parties that said property is homestead
property, and has requested that the apparent lien by reason of certain
assessments made against said property by Ordinance No. 3180 be re-
leased; and,
WHEREAS, the undersigned parties find it expedient to grant said
request by reason of the fact that said property is homestead; NOW
THEREFORE:
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT for and in consideration of the premises and ONE AND.NOI100
($1.00) DOLLARS cash to them in hand paid unto the City of Lubbock, a
homerule municipality situated in Lubbock County, Texas, and Pioneer
Pavers, Inc., the undersigned parties executing this release, by Carroll
J. Wood, the owner of said property, receipt of which is hereby acknow-
ledged and confessed, said undersigned parties do hereby Release, Relin-
quish, and forever Quitclaim all of their right, title, and interest in and
to the apparent lien created by the following assessment as contained in
Ordinance No. 3180 of said City of Lubbock, to-wit:
Carroll J. Wood, Owner
Beginning at a point which is 1565.0 feet West and
9ZZ.0 feet South of the Northwest corner of Section
8, Block E-Z, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South 200.0 feet;
THENCE West 180.0 feet;
THENCE North 200.0 feet;
THENCE East 160.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
The above described property was included in Sub-Unit No. 3 of
Unit No. 2017, Kenosha Avenue from 57' North of the S.P.L. of
50th Street to 1Z' North of S.P.L. of 54th Street. Ordinance
3180 Filed for record July 19. 1960 and Recorded July 19, 1960
in Vol. 881, Page 315 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County,
Texas. Final Passage Date July 13, 1960 as to said Ordinance
3180.
.— This release is intended to release the above-described assessment
lien only, and all other liens not expressly releasedhereby are retained by
the undersigned parties, and in no wise acknowledges payment of the paving
certificates by virtue pf.paid above-described rdinance.
