S RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK AND THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK IN CONNECTION WITH THE UNDERTAKING
AND CARRYING OUT OF A REVISED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN FOR THE
CORONADO URBAN RENEWAL AREA AS REVISED AUGUST 31, 1960.
WHEREAS,, it is desirable that the City of Lubbock and the Urban Renewal I�
Agency of the City of Lubbock execute a mutual agreement to provide certain
actions and work and "local grants-in-aid" in the carrying out of the Revised
Coronado Urban Renewal Plan; and,
WHEREAS$ the City of Lubbock and the Urban Renewal Agency of the City
of Lubbock have heretofore approved such Revised Urban Renewal Plan; and
have approved the COOPERATION AGREEMENT attached hereto and malked
Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Home Finance Agency, an agency of the United
Statesof America:., required as a condition precedent to the disbursement of Fede ra
funds to aid in the undertaking and carrying out of the Coronado Urban Renewal
Project that the City and said Urban Renewal Agency entered into a cooperation
agreement relating to the undertaking of the proposed Urban Renewal Project
activities by said Urban Renewal Agency and the provision of local grants-in-
aid in relation thereto and in support thereof, together with certain other cooper -
tive action on the part of the City of Lubbock in support and aid of said proposed
-� Urban Renewal Project, NOW THEREFORE,,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK;
THAT, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute such COOP_'
ERATION AGREEMENT, a copy of which agreement is marked "Exhibit A"
and is attached hereto and made a part hereof for the City of Lubbock by
affixing his signature to said document and the City Secretary-Treasurer
be and is hereby authorized to attest such signature.
