WHEREAS, Lubbock Independent School District, desires a Quit Claim Dee from The City of Lubbock, Texas to certain land located in said City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas and fuJly described as follows: IN Lubbock,Lubbock County, Texas and BEGINNING at a point 117.5 West of the Northeast corner of Block 62, Norwood Subdivision, Lubbock, Texas; THENCE South to a point 117. 5 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Block 62; THENCE West 12 feet to a point 117. 5 feet Eatt of the Southwest corner of said Block 62; THENCE North to a point 106.86 feet from the Northwest corner of said Block 62; THENCE East 12 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. WHEREAS„ it appgars that the property hereinabove described has been abandoned by the City of Lubbock, Texas as a public way and for a public use on -- the grounds that such abandonment was to the public interest; NOW: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed conveying the above-described property to Lubbock Independent School District. Passed by the City Commission this the 9th day of February , 1961. Texas, in and to that certain tract cr parcel of land lying in The City of Lubbock. Texas. nor any persone persons, or corporations claiming under said City of Lubbock, Texas, at any time hereafteri have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof. This is intended as a quit-claim deed from said City of Lubbock , Texas, to said Lubbock Inde- pendent School District of all right, title or interest in and to the land described herein.
