WHEREAS,; The City Commission as governing body of The City of Lubbock Texas;, a municipal corporation, has determined to offer for sale certain lands hereinafter specifically described; and WHEREAS, it is contemplated to sell said lands to Cresthill Baptist Church for a total consideration of $12500.00; and WHEREAS„ it has been determined that it is to the best interests of said City of Lubbock and the citizens thereof that such sale be made; and WHEREAS,, the land proposed for sale is described as follows: A parcel of land out of Section 12,, Block As Lubbock County, Texas, and described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the West line of North College Avenue and the North section line of said Section 12, Block A; THENCE West 521 feet; THENCE South 418 feet; THENCE East 521 feet,, more or less,, to a point in the West line of College Avenue; THENCE Northeasterly along the West line of College Avenue a distance of 418 feet,, more or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING. NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, THAT the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to-execute a special warranty deed conveying to Cresthill Baptist Church the property described in this re solution.
