HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 091059F - Pavement Improvements - West Texas Construction Co - Howard And Garlington Add - 09_10_1959 a RESOLUTZM ! - 1 �S7 r^ RESOLUTIM ACCEPTING MTROVEi-1IIVTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVa TES AS LISTED BELCW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Howard and Garlington Addition, made arrangements with West Texas Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Howard and Garlington Addition including the following streets: Albany Avenue from its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 30th Street to its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 32nd Street, }mown and designated as New Subdivision Unit Dumber 426. 31st Street from its intersection with a line 28 feet West of the East Property Line of Bangor Avenue to its intersection with a line 15 feet West of the West Property Line of Albany Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 427• 32nd'Street from its intersection with a line 28 feet West of the Fast Property Line of Bangor Avenue to its intersection with a line 15 feet North of the North Property Line of Albany Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 428. 33rd Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 32nd Street to its intersection with aline 28 feet West of the East Property Line of Bangor Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 429. East one half of Bangor Avenue from-its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 33rd Street to its intersection with a line 13 feet North of the North Property Line of 34th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 431. East one half of Bangor Avenue from its intersection with a line 15 feet North of the-North Property Line of 32nd Street to its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 31st Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 432. North 26 feet of 34th Street from its intersection with a line 28 feet West of the East Property Line of Bangor Avenue to its intersection with a line 2.5 feet East of the East Property Line of Alley East of Bangor Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 433• 30th Street from its intersection with a line 28 feet West of the East Property Line of Albany Avenue to its intersection with a line 15 feet west of the centerline of Slide Road, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 520. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. r. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the Cost. Inc., paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Howard & Garlington Addition and find the improvements on Albany and Bangor Avenues and 30th, 31st Street, 32nd Street, 33rd Street and 34.th Street as Listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached emsolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock, Yours very truly, Bohn T.
