HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 082759H - Pavement Improvements - West Texas Construction Co - Glenridge Addition - 08_27_1959 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPRGV&aNTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BEMT: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Glenridge Addition, made arrangements with wrest Texas Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the .recording of the subdivision plat of Glenridge Addition including the following streets: West one--half of Indiana Avenue from its intersection with the centerline of 52nd Street to its intersection with a line 2.5 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 55th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Dumber 547. South one-half of 52nd Street from its intersedtion with a line 13 feet West of the East Property Line of Lot 9, of Glenridge Addition to its 'intersection with a line 14.99 feet West of the Wiest Property Line of Indiana Avenue, known and designated as Yew Subdivision Unit Number 548. Joliet Avenue from its intersection with a line 12 feet North of the South Property Line of 52nd Street to its intersection with a line 12 feet South of the North Property Line of 53rd ;street, known and designated as hew Subdivision Unit Number 549. 53rd Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Lot 52 �^ Glenridge addition to the Cul-de-sac West of Indiana Avenue, known and designated. as New Subdivision Unit Number 550. 54th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet West of the 6gest Property Line of Knoxville Avenue to its intersection with a line 15.14 feet West of the West Property Line of Indiana Avenue (South Leg), known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 551. Joliet Avenue from its intersection with a line 12 feet North of the South Property Line of 54th Street to its intersection with aline 12 feet South of the North Property Line of 55th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 552,1 Knoxville Avenue from its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 54th Street to its intersection with a line 2.5 feet South of the South Property of the alley South of 55th Street, known and desiganted as New subdivision Unit Number 553. 55th Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet East of the East Property Line of Knoxville Avenue to the Cul-de-sac West of Indiana Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 554. North one-half 52nd Street from its intersection with a line 15 feet West of the West Property Line of Joliet Avenue (North Leg) to its intersection with a line 15 feet West of the East Property Line of Indiana Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 556. West one-half of Indiana from its intersection with the Centerline of 52nd Street to its intersection with a line 33 feet North of the South Fr6pe'rty Lire of 50th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 558. 08V" AID WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the abovementi.oned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City.specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESCfLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBC CK, TKIAS That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direst the payment of the City's portion of the Cost. TEXAS August 27, 1959 Honbrabie Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by West Texas Construction Company, Inc., paving contractor, under their contract dated March 3, 1959, designated as G.W.O. 2396 under their contract with the subdividers of Glenridge Addition and Find the improvements on Indiana Avenue, 52nd Street, Joliet Avenue, 53td Street, 54th Street, Knoxville Avenue and 55th Street as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of ;'Lubbock.
