MADISON AVENUE) IN THE"CITY OF LUBBOCK, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DES
/� CRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS RESOLUTION.

WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Commission of the City of
Lubbock that a certain portion of Detroit Avenue (formerly Madison Avenue) as
more particularly described in the body of this Resolution is not being used and
will not in the future be used or needed for public purposes or street purposes
or any other public purpose; and,
��`tVHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be in the public interest for
the City of Lubbock to quit claim its interest in said portion of Detroit Avenue
(formerly Madison Avenue) to the current abutting owners; NOW THEREFORE,
{BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor of the. City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver on behalf of said City a quit claim deed to OWEN
J. McWHORTER, conveying its interest in and to the following described portion
of Detroit Avenue formerly Madison Avenue} located in the City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas, 'described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 4, Block 5, Webb Addition
to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE West 25 feet;
THENCE South 150 feet;
THENCE East 25 feet;
THENCE North along the West line of said Lot 4, a distance of 150 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
SECTION.2. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver on behalf of said City a quit claim deed to BESS
RASH COPE, conveying its interest in and to the following described portion of
Detroit Avenue (formerly Madison Avenue) located in the City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, 'Texas, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 6, Webb Addition
to the City of. Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE East 25 feet;
THENCE South 150 feet;
