WHEREAS, The City Commission on behalf of the City of Lubbock and the
Commissioners', Court on behalf of Lubbock County and the Texas State Highway
Department on behalf of the State of ,Texas have jointly entered into written agree-
ments whereby Lubbock County and the City of Lubbock are to acquire right of wa
upon request of the Texas State Highway Department, for Loop 289, and the City
� - Commission o£ the City of Lubbock in view of the cooperative contract bettv"n
the parties as above stated deems it advisable that ihey have full authority from th.
City to acquire right of way for said Loop 289 by purchase or condemnation; NOW
THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Commissioners' Court of Lubbock County and Lubboc
County is hereby given consent of 'the City Commission and the City of Lubbock to
acquire by purchase or condemnation any right of way for Loop 289 requested by
the Texas State Highway Department whether the right of way requested be within
or beyond the corporate limits of the City of Lubbock.
SECTION 2. The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to attest
the signature of the Mayor and affix the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto.
