CANVASS OF VOTES IN GENERAL ELECTION j!
HELD APRIL 11 1958
123E IT REMEMBERED THAT on the 2nd day of April, 1958, the City Commission!
". ibf the City of Lubbock met at 2:30 otclock, p. m. in special session in corn-
pliance with the charter provision, at"the regular meeting place of the Commis-
3ion in the City Hall,, in the City of Lubbock, with the following members
;present, to-wit: S. S, Forrest, Jr. Mayor
Lennis W. Baker City Commissioner
0. L. Byrd City Commissioner
David C. Casey City Commissioner

Maxey , it is unanimously carried that the returns of the general
pity election, held April 12, 1958, for the election of a Mayor and four Commis-
lioners for full terms as provided by laws be opened and canvassed, and the
results thereof declared therefrom; and said returns having been duly canvassed,
It is found that the votes for the various candidates are as follows:

And it further appearing that said election was duly held as provided bylaw and
that Lennis Baker received a majority of 1898 votes of the total sum
of votes cast for the office of Mayor; and that Vernon E.Thompson received a
majority of 3276 votes of the total number of votes cast for Commissioner
of place No. 1; and that David C. Casey received a majority of 3258
votes of the total number of voters- cast for Commissioner of Place No. 2; and
;that Otis Maner received a majority of 1179 votes of the
l 'total number of votes cast for Commissioner of Place No. 3; and that
�-- Homer G. Maxey received a majority of � 3323. votes of the total number
of votes cast for Commissioner of Place No. 4, and that each of said persons
jreceiving such majority was duly elected by the qualified voters of the City
of Lubbock:

ZT ISS THEREFORE,., FOUND#; DECLARED AND CERTIFIED BY THE CITY ;.
'COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT Lennis Baker was duly
elected Mayor, and thatVernon E.Thompson was duly elected Commissioner for
'.Place No. 1; and that David C. Cs eY was duly elected Commissioner for
place No. 2; and that Otis Maner was duly elected Commissioner for
..Place No. 3; and that Homer:G. Maxey was duly elected Commissioner for
Place No. 4, and each of them was duly elected to said places as members of
the City Commission of the City of Lubbock at said election held April 1, 1958.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED:, THIS 2ND DAY OF APRIL, 1958,
