JWF:gb RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has heretofore purchased certain property
hereafter described in the body of this Resolution, for the purpose of erecting
r a fire station, and the City Commission finds that said property has not and
will not be used for fire station purposes; and,

WHEREAS,..V. J. Lowrance desires to purchase said excess property and
has offered the sum of $1800 as a purchase price for said land and desires to
c pay said sum by paying $600 cash upon receipt of the conveyance and pay the
balance of $1200 in sixty (60) equal monthly installments; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that the amount offered as the
purchase price for said land is a good and sufficient sum for the fair and
market value of said land and that it would be expedient and in the public interest
to sell said property to V. J. Lowrance; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor BE and he is hereby authorized and directed
to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Warranty Deed from the
City of Lubbock to V. J. Lowrance covering the following described property:
Lot 11, Block 1, Keller Subdivision of Lot 3, Block 5,
Alta Vista Acres Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas;
and said Deed to be delivered to V. J. Lowrance upon the receipt by the City of
Lubbock of the sum of $600 in cash and the delivery of an-executed Vendorts
Lien Note additionally secured by a Deed' of Trust on the property described
herein for the principal sum of_$1200 bearing interest at the rate of 6% per

SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to attest the signature of the Mayor of the City of Lubbock to said Warranty
Deed and to affix the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto in evidence thereof.

SUWECT: LOWRANCE CONVEYANCE
In compliance with your memorandum dated March 10, 1958, please
find attached hereto the following instruments:
(1) A Warranty Deed from. the City of Lubbock to V. S Lowrance
conveying the following described property:
Lot 11, Block 1, Keller Subdivision of Lot 3, Block 5,
Alta Vista Acres Addition to the City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas.
(2) A Vendor's Lien Note in the amount of $1200.
(3) A Deed of Trust securing said Vendor's Lien Note,
(4) A Resolution for the consideration of the City Commission
authorizing the Mayor to execute said Warranty Deed.
The installment Vendor's Lien Note should be dated at the top of the
page; and in the body of said Vend.or}s Lien Note the blanks should be filled
in in regard to the date the first installment is due and the day of the month
of each succeeding month when the monthly installments become due. This
information about the first installment .and the succeeding installments should
also be filled in the blanks supplied for that purpose on Page 2 of the Deed of
Trust. The Warranty Deed, Deed of Trust and Vendor Is Lien Note should all
bear the same date.
Please check these instruments, and we hope you will find them in order.
