HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 101460G - Street Improvements - Pioneer Pavers - GWO 10199 Multiple Locations - 10_14_1960 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING 31-IFROVEM ETS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND AVENUES AS LISTED BELaT AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESS- MENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Pioneer Pavers (G.W.O. 10199) for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of numerous streets and avenues in said City including among others the-following: The North 1/2 of 50th Street from its intersection with a line 31 feet West of the West Property Line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with a line 59.6 feet West of the West Property Line of Indian Acres Addition, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 1994. The North 1/2 of 50th Street from its intersection with a line 59.6 feet West of the West Property Line of Indian Acres Addition to its intersection with a line 73.34 feet West of the West Property Line of Memphis Avenue, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 1994. The North 1/2 of 50th Street from its intersection with a line 73.34 feet West of the West Property Line of Memphis Avenue to its intersection with the East point of curvature of the East transition into the access road, known and r designated as Sub-Unit Number 3 of Unit Number 1994. Part of the North 1/2 of 50th Street from its intersection with the East point of curvature of the East transition into the access road to its intersection with a line 16 feet West of the West Property Line of Indiana Avenue, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 4 of Unit Number 1994. Quaker Avenue from its intersection with a line 2.5 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley North of 50th Street to its intersection with a line 25 feet North of the North Property Line of 50th Street, known and designated as Sub-Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2019. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementioned streets and avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 10199). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost. II. That the Mayor and CitySecretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.
