Best Possible Scan - 09/24/1957 q RESOLUTION _ WHEREAS, Lot 78, Manhattan Heights Addition to City of Lubbock, as shown on the I&p and Plat thereof, is in a desirable location for school purposes; and, WHEREAS, the Lubbock Independent School District wishes to acquire title thereto; and, WHEREAS, it is found desirable and in the public interest that said Lot No. 78, Manhattan Heights Addition be improved for school purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK sell, transfer and convey Lot 78, ;Manhattan Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock as shown on the Map thereof, for the consideration of $23, 635,50; and, THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and he is hereby authorized to execute for and in behalf of the City of Lubbock a Warranty Deed conveying said Lot 78 to the Lubbock Independent School District to be used for school purposes; and The Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and he is hereby authorized to deliver-such conveyance upon receipt of.the sum of $23 635. 50 as the act and deed of the City of Lubbock. 1 Passed by the City Commission this 24 day of___September , 195 S.
