Green - Crump Five Acre Addition - 09_24_1957 tee, 0q2961A RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock has found that a certain portion of 50th.Street in the vicinity of its intersection with Avenue Q is no longer needed for street purposes; and, WHEREAS, J. R. Green and wife, K. B. Green, have requested that the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation of Lubbock County, Texas, quit claim,to them that portion of 50th Street no longer needed for street purposes; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it would be expedient and to the public interest to quit claim unto the said J. R. Green and wife, K. B. Green, that portion of 50th Street as hereafter described in the body of this Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor BE and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, as Grantor,a Quit Claim Dee to J. R. Green and wife, K. B. Green to the following described tract of land located in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas: BEGINNING at a point 131. 09 feet East and 25. 0 feet North of the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Block 32, Crump 5 Acre Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; ^^ THENCE West 80.48 feet to a point, said point being in the East line of Avenue Q; THENCE Northwesterly along the East line of Avenue Q a distance of 15. 09 feet to a point; THENCE East a distance of 82. 08 feet to a point; THENCE South 15. 0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to attest the signature of the Mayor to said Quit Claim Deed and affix the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto.
