HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 071157H - Street Improvements - Elliott Taylor - GWO 2015 - 07_11_1957 I Fµ - .• 0711S144 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES .IN EVI— DENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. 77HEREAS9 the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Elliott Taylor, (G.W.O. 2015) for the making and construction of alley and/or street improvements on portions of numerous streets and/or alleys in said city including among others the following: East 26th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Date' Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Elm Avenue; known and designated as Sub—Unit Number 20 of Unit Number 1865. East 26th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Elm Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Hickory Avenue, known and designated as Sub--Unit Number 21 of Unit Number 1865. East 26th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Hickory Avenue to its intersection with the Southwest Paving Line of Rail— road Avenue, known and designated as Sub—Unit Number 22 of Unit Number 1865 Globe Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of East 26th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of East 28th Street, known and designated as Sub—Unit Number 26 of Unit Number 1865. Juniper Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of East 28th Street to its intersection with the North Paving Line of East 34th Street, known and designated as Sub—Unit Number 29 of Unit Number 1865, AND WHEREAS9 the improvements upon the said portions of the abov — mentioned streets, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 2015). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portion of the abovementioned streets be, and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of cost. II. ! That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby in— structed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portion of the streets listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.
