Home My WebLink AboutResolution - 052857F - Street Improvements - West Texas Construction Inc - GWO 1234-B 42Nd Street - 05_28_1957 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVM ES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESS12NTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve- ment ordinances and revolutions and entered into contract with West Texas Construction, Inc., (G.W.O. 1234,B) for the making and construction of alley and/or street improvements on portions of numerous streets and/or alleys in said city including among others the following: 42nd Street from its intersection with the West Line of Southeast Heights Addition to its intersection with the West Gutter Line of Avenue A.9 known and designated as Subunit Number 3 of Unit Number 1852. AND WHEREAS9 the improvements upon the said portions of the above- mentioned street have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (GWO 12344). ThMMRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned street be, and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the street listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract* and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied.
