HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 101156C - Release Of Liens - Paving Unit No. 867 - 10_11_1956 101 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, heretofore on the ninth day of June, 1949, (June 9, 1949) the City of Lubbock passed Ordinance No. 917, such instrument being recorded in Volume 391, Page 6 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, such ordin- 1� ance containing a notice of improvements and apportionment of costs of such improvements by assessing a lien upon the property abutting thereon, and in such ordinance there was included paving assessments for Paving Unit No. 867; and, WHEREAS, under Paving Unit No. 867 such improvements have created no lien or liens against the property assessed pursuant to Paving Unit No. 867 by �. reason of the fact that such paving improvements have not been made and there is no immediate plan of making street improvements upon the streets included in !Paving Unit No. 867, and it is expedient to remove the cloud and apparent lien �. placed upon property abutting the streets to be improved which were included in Paving Unit No. 867; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor BE, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute, and the City Secretary is directed to attest, for and in behalf of the City of Lubbock, a release of any and all liens, apparent liens, or cloud upon title shown of record to exist upon any property abutting streets to be improv c pursuant to Paving Unit No 867"included in Ordinance 917 of the City of Lubbock, Texas. SECTION 1. THAT such release is to contain the provisions that it shall not affect any property or liens not expressly released thereby.
