RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENT'S ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OF, AVENUES
AS LISTED BEL0'1 ArD ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
ASSESSr4I7TS LEVIED.

a 71;11 EAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improve—
ment ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Kerr and
Middleton (G=JO 1100) for the making and construction of alley and/or street
improvements on portions of numerous streets and/or alleys in said city in—
cluding among others the following:
Avenue N from its intersection with the North Gutter Line of 13th Street to
its intersection with a line four (4) feet North of the South Gutter Line of
Broadway, known and designated as Unit Number 1762.
AND IMEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementioned
avenue, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance
with terms of said contract (MTO 1100).

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.

That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys be,
and the same are hereby, accepted.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against
the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of avenue listed above
Viand against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the
manner provided in said ;contract, and the proceedings with reference to said
limprovements and assessments where such assessments were levied, and the City
Engineer is hereby directed to write a letter releasing money held in escrow to

Gentlemen:
I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr and
Addleton, Paving Contractors, -under their contract dated April. 28,
1955, designated G.W.O. 1100, and find the improvements on the
avenue known and designated as Unit 1762, as listed on the final
estimate and assessment sheet to have been coanpl.eted in accordance
with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the
improvements on said avenue, paying the contractor the amount shown
on the attached consolidated estimate sheet as due him by the City
of Lubbock, and issue assignable certificates against property
owners for the respective amoimts shown on the attached final
assessment sheets as being due against them and their respective
properties.

Dear Mr, Hickerson:
We have completed, in accordance Frith plans and spec-
ifications, all possible Units on our Contract with the
City of Lubbock, designated as Q.W.O. 1100 and dated April
28, 1955.
All unpaved Units were released on April 26, 1956,
by City Ordinance Number 1880.
We now request a final inspection of all completed
Units by the City Engineer and a certificate of complet-
ion.
