Duncan - Public Health Center - 08_26_1956 allRESOLUTION WHEREAS, on August 25, 1955, the City Commission, by its Resolution, approved the expansion of public health services for Lubbock and Lubbock County, jointly with the Commis.sionerst Court of Lubbock County, the City of 'Lubbock to participate in the 'building of a public health center in the amount of twenty-five per cent (25%) of the cost thereof, with Lubbock County agreeing to participate in the project in the amount of twenty-five per cent (254%) of the cost, and the Texas State Department of Health to assist in the construction of the public health center in the amount of fifty per cent (50%) of the cost of the project, and WHEREAS, bids for the LUBBOCK CITY-COUNTY HEALTH CENTER AND DIAGNOSTIC UNIT have been duly received, opened, tabulated and checked this the 29th day of August, 1956, by the City Commission and County Commissio , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City of Lubbock and the County of Lubbock declare their intention to award the contract to the low bidder, S. R. Duncan, on his base bid, subject to the approval of the bid documents by the Surgeon -General. On motion of City Commissioner Casey, seconded by City Commissioner Maxey, the foregoing resolution was duly passed by the following vote: v1 Commissioners voting yea: Casey, Maxey, Baker, Forrest.
