HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 5291 - Interlocal Corporation Agreement - Lubbock County - Reese AFB Redevelopment - 09_26_1996RESOLUTION NO.5291 September 26, 1996 Item #16 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock an Interlocal Corporation Agreement for Reese AFB Redevelopment, attached herewith, by and between the City of Lubbock and Lubbock County, Texas and any associated documents, which Agreement shall be spread upon the minutes of the council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. ALEX "T O KE, MAYOR PRO TEMPORE ATTEST: arbld Willard,- Interim City Sec? tary APPROVED AS TO CONTENT: C05 Bob Cass, City Manager Apkcdocs�a-reese.res September 17, 1996 RESOLUTION NO. 5291 September 26, 1996 Item #16 STATE OF TEXAS § INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT COUNTY OF LUBBOCK § REESE AFB REDEVELOPMENT THIS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT ("Agreement"), is made and entered into pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act (Chapter 791, Government Code) by and between LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY" and the CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, hereinafter referred to as "CITY." WHEREAS, COUNTY is a political subdivision of the State of Texas operating under the general laws of the State of Texas; and CITY is an incorporated municipality operating under the charter of the municipality and home rule; and WHEREAS, COUNTY and CITY mutually desire to cooperate to promote and redevelop the property presently occupied by Reese Air Force Base; THEREFORE, the following Agreement is entered by and between COUNTY and CITY as follows: COUNTY shall provide to CITY one payment of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) in furtherance of the goals contemplated by this Agreement. CITY shall continue to provide preliminary personnel and administrative services associated with evaluating and employing or appointing necessary personnel in furtherance of the goals contemplated by this Agreement and shall use the payment from COUNTY in a manner as to qualify for matching state and federal grants. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties to this Agreement have executed this Agreement as of the effective date written below, each respective party acting by and through its governing body or its designee in the manner required by each party's charter or otherwise required by law on the date herein below specified.
